About Me
Hi, I'm Nicky a.k.a Aurora Nightmare. I create original digital artwork and create jewellery inspired by alternative art, media and music. Being neurodivergent can put you on the outside of the everyday, alternative culture is a community that is also outside of popular culture.
Growing up with autism, it wasn't a topic that was talked about. Drawing was a safe space for me to express myself.
Often people would think that I had copied the artwork from somewhere else as if because I'm autistic I couldn't be creative. Which is obviously wrong.
Artistic hobbies are a great way for neurodivergent people to express themselves and it was my safe place to relax and be myself without the mask.
